The early pre-dawn start for sunrise tours can be a challenge, but manageable with a guide and tools (included in your tour). The views from the summit of Mount Batur are incredible. From the top, you'll see the Batur caldera floor with its black lava flows, green vegetation, and Lake Batur, a turquoise lake. On clear days, you can even see Mount Agung, Bali's highest peak, on the horizon.

Keep a rain-proof windcheater handy. Temperatures at the summit average between 10-15°C, especially at sunrise, especially during sunrise hours. Dress in breathable clothing. Wear hiking boots and bring a backpack for essentials. It's better to be slightly cool during the climb and have the option to layer up at the summit than to be uncomfortably cold at the top. You can always remove layers as needed during the trek.

This is the BEST way to see the sunrise on mount Batur and booking through headout is the cheapest as well. It is so well organized. There is a very good breakfast organized for you after the tour as well in a very beautiful restaurant. Something that's not included in many other packages. Our driver Ridho and jeep driver Agus were very helpful and kind. Totally recommend them. Amazing experience.

It was such a fun and special experience getting up Mt Batur in a jeep. Weather was great and allowed us to see a really beautiful sunrise. Our guides Ridho and Dipa were so friendly, kind, protective, engaging and knowledgeable which adds to a truly amazing time. This was a great highlight on our Bali trip. Booking on Headout was easy and arrangement with pick up was quickly confirmed even though booking was only made the afternoon before.

Had really great experience trekking the Mount Batur. Our driver Mr. Bagonk was on time for our pick up at 2 AM and had a friendly conversation explaining everything to us. On the way back, he took us to the coffee plantation and it was another good experience. Our treak guide was Ms. Rini and she also did a fantastic job. 1. All the guides were observed to be sarting the Trek at a very fast pace , literally ensuring that many were forced to opt for a motorbike ride to complete the Trek 2. The breakfast at the summit could be improved by providing a hot drink as well , 3. The guide should spend a few minutes at the start briefing the group about what exactly to ecpect

We had an amazing experience with our driver War Sana. I'm a right leg amputee and war sana made sure there was nothing I couldn't do, from helping me in & out of the jeep to bringing us breakfast & coffees to the jeep, taking some incredible photos for us at the sunrise, and providing such a fun experience, we also got the black volcano and where able to get out and explore there too. A huge thankyou to war sana for being so helpful & understanding we had the best time and you're a great guide! We also had an amazing taxi driver who took us too and from the location for the jeep, called endrik. This was brilliantly organised!
